What kind of accommodation have i booked?
We have 2 types of accommodation: Snowrooms (cold rooms) and Gamme cabins (warm rooms)
We just want to inform you, that you have booked a snowsuite in a Snowhotel, as in our experience some of our guests are not fully aware of this. There is for example no bathroom in your room, and no doors with a lock, just curtains, beds and snow/ice-art. Everything is made of snow and ice, except the bed/mattress itself, and the room and the Snowhotel holds a constant temperature of -4°. :-)
There are restrooms, wardrobes, showers, sauna and luggage room in the main building, adjacent to the Snowhotel (there is a door from the main building leading directly into the Snowhotel). Please see pictures, videos and more information here: Snowhotel | Norway | Snowhotel Kirkenes
We also have warm cabins, take a look here: Gamme Northern Lights Cabins | Norway | Snowhotel Kirkenes
It is possible to switch to a warm room, depending on availability. If you have booked via booking.com or expedia, you need to contact them to switch.
But we recommend trying the snowhotel if you want a real arctic adventure. You get really warm sleeping bags as well as proper demonstration, and most of our guest sleep very well and are very happy after their stay.
