Why can the transition for King Crab Safari vary from Snowmobile to RIB boat?
It does vary due to wheater conditions. We do need ice and snow to drive snowmobiles.
The transition from boat to snowmobile is set at 01.12. but is subject to climate and seasonal variations. Ice and snow conditions are not constant. We start driving with Snowmobile and sled as soon as we have enough ice on fjord and snow on the tracks. That is why we have the following text on our website:
